A Typical Combination Boiler Installation

Project: A Typical Combination Boiler Installation

A Typical Combination Boiler Installation

When changing a combination boiler it is important to make multiple checks to see if the new boiler can be installed so it can perform safely, cause as little disruption as possible, economically and perform to the best of it’s ability.

When we install a Worcester Bosch boiler we can offer up to a 10 year guarantee depending on the model and which accessories we install alongside it.

It’s a basic and manufacturers requirement to ensure the heating system is clean before installing a new boiler.

We do this by Powerflushing the radiators and pipework and installing a magnetic filter on the heating return pipe next to the boiler to ensure the new boiler is protected and can operate efficiently and to maximise it’s lifetime.

A powerflush is done by connecting our superb Norstrom flushing unit to the heating system and circulating a cleaning chemical around each radiator individually whilst gently agitating the radiators to loosen any magnetite sludge. The advantage of this Norstrom unit is that it has a built-in heating element to get the water temperature up to 60 degrees so the chemical works at it’s optimum.

Alongside the Nostrum we use an Adey Magnacleanse double magnet system which gets cleaned after each radiator has been flushed.

There are many different manufacturers when it comes to boiler controls and we like to stick with the tried and tested ones from our extensive industry experience such as Honeywell, Worcester Bosch, Heatmiser, Danfoss and Drayton.
